The Coastal Collective

What is The Coastal Collective?

Working together to achieve more

The Coastal Collective is a children’s charity established in Lytham St Annes in 2023 through a unique partnership between nine local primary schools, two local secondary schools and The Lytham Schools Foundation.
Created in response to a shared commitment to supporting children and families across the FY8 area, our mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, and lead a safe, healthy, happy life.
By working collaboratively across schools, communities and local services, we can identify needs early, provide targeted support and create opportunities that strengthen the wellbeing and life chances of children and young people.

What We Do

At The Coastal Collective, we provide a range of universal and targeted services designed to support children and their families. Our work is delivered in three key ways:

  • Direct work supporting children in their schools – working alongside children and families within their school community.
  • Provision across the community – providing accessible services and programmes for children and families in the school settings.
  • School-led projects – equipping and supporting school teams to deliver initiatives that improve outcomes for children and young people.

Our Services

Direct Work Supporting Children in Schools

Targeted one-to-one and small group support, helping children build confidence, resilience, communication skills and emotional wellbeing through evidence-based programmes and creative interventions.

Provision Across the Community

Welcoming sessions across our community hubs, offering practical guidance, early help, group activities and tailored support to build confidence, develop skills and strengthen local connections.

School-led Projects

Working alongside schools, health professionals and community partners to identify needs early, remove barriers and connect children and families with the right support at the right time.

How you can find us

The Coastal Collective Community Hub

Our Community Hub is based in The Pod building on the Heyhouses Junior School site. It offers a range of community sessions, including infant massage, baby group, family drop-in and art group.

Park View Pod

We are based at Park View Pod on Mondays and Thursdays during term time. Sessions include infant massage, NELI early language groups and family drop-in/toddler group.
Our community sessions are open to everyone, and all are welcome at our monthly Exploring Stories sessions.

Based in St Annes

We can be found at our office base in St Annes on Sea. Alternatively, if your child attends a school in Lytham St Annes, you can speak to their school about the support available.
